Having worked extensively across the construction and design world for the last 15 years, Nicholas he has gained a wealth of experience working for companies with clients on projects ranging from one-off homes through to large scale schools, apartment buildings, offices, pharmaceutical laboratories, industrial warehouses, retail units and hospitals.
Originally qualifying as an Architect in 2010 with the RIBA in England, Nicholas has studied in the UK gaining his Bachelor of Arts, Post Graduate Diploma in Architecture and RIBA Part 3 from the University of Portsmouth. He also spent a year studying urban design in Paris at the Ecole De Architecture, Paris Val de Seine.
Having worked for companies including Architecture PLB, Building Design Partnership in the UK, Nicholas moved to Iceland in 2013 to work with the award winning practices PK Arkitektar and Zeppelin Arkitektar in Reykjavik. Most recently he relocated back to his native Cork, working for Edel Regan Architects and Henry J Lyons Architects before joining Dawson Architects.
Nicholas practices architecture with a keen eye for design and working with the environment while embracing modern technology and the latest 3d visualisation techniques.
With a keen interest in the environment and environmentally sustainable design, Nicholas has gone on to study for an MSC in Sustainable Development at UCD.
He became RIAI registered in 2023.
